state university of new york (suny) at oswego
In August 2015 I began my junior year of college - and my first year at SUNY Oswego. Following two years at Suffolk County Community College, I transferred to SUNY Oswego to complete my undergraduate studies and earn my degree in broadcasting and mass communications. Two short years later, I graduated cum laude with that degree, a 3.33 GPA and as a member of the Lambda Pi Eta National Communications honor Society.

During my time at SUNY Oswego I took classes that helped me learn skills necessary to make it in the world of broadcasting. I learned how to write news copy, edit audio and video using Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition and learned about the logistics of the broadcasting field.
While attending SUNY Oswego I also got my first taste at being an on-air talent in both television and radio by anchoring newscasts on both student-run media platforms, WTOP-10 TV and 88.9 FM WNYO radio. As the sports anchor for both stations, I would write my own stories, prepare and edit audio and video for the sports block of the stations' newscasts and perform live highlight reads while in front of the camera. All of this experience helped me land my first internship in broadcasting at Time Warner Cable News in Syracuse, NY as a sports intern.
