My first experience in radio was in 2017, after graduating SUNY Oswego, when I was hired as an intern with Cox Media Group Long Island - the media group that owns and operates 106.1 WBLI and 102.3 WBAB.

As an intern with Cox Media Group and its two stations I would attend station promotional events, record and edit radio spots, operate the board during live broadcasts and assist in the company's digital department. I also assisted in the station's annual summer concert event, BLI Summer Jam at Jones Beach and was the only intern in charge of editing the intern group's final video project at the end of the summer.

Following the completion of my internship with the company I was hired as a brand ambassador/promotions assistant for both stations. This was essentially a step up from attending promotional events as an intern as I would now be the one coordinating the events, setting up the tent and table and engaging with listeners of the stations to promote the stations' brands.
