National women's hockey league
Before I began grad school, I was hired to be a public relations and social media intern with the Metropolitan Riveters and the National Women's Hockey League.

I served as the team's PR and social media intern for the duration of the 2018-19 NWHL season with my responsibilities including creating rosters for both teams and game notes every game day using Adobe inDesign, being the point of contact for any media members hoping to receive game day credentials, set up an interview with Riveters players or coaches before or after a game or at practice and creating content for the team to be published to the league's website.

Working for the National Women's Hockey League not only enhanced my journalism and content creation skills, it also taught me about the other side of working in sports media - working in public relations and what it means to be the person that those in the media have to reach out to in order to receive any sort of media privileges.
